This documentation provides the technical information about the evCreate API to experienced software and integration engineers whose job is to develop software, write scripts, or integrate different applications and who want to use the API in custom solutions. It assumes middle or higher knowledge of the following subjects:

• JavaScript

• TypeScript (optionally)

• HTML

• Object-oriented programming

• Software design patterns

• Software development pipeline

• Web app architecture

• Best web app development practices

• Canvas Envision Platform

• Canvas Envision Creator

TypeScript knowledge is necessary only if you want to use the evCreate API in code or scripts written in this language.

Software and tools

To work with and use the evCreate API, you should have the following:

• An instance of the Canvas Envision web app installed and running in your enterprise on-premise or cloud environment.

• An active user account with access to the Canvas Envision Creator web app.

• The latest version of a browser supported by the Canvas Envision Creator web app.

• An integrated development environment (IDE) of your choice for working with JavaScript and TypeScript code.
